Fully qualified, experienced and insured Hatha Yoga Teacher, teaching since 2006. My background is in mental health where I worked as an Occupational therapist for the NHS.
I left to pursue yoga after being seriously Ill with cancer in my 20s (lymphoma), and upon my recovery sadly (and very suddenly) losing my sister to skin cancer.
Yoga, meditation and reiki were so supportive through these challenges that I decided to train as a yoga teacher.
My yoga is taught from the heart following Patanjali’s 8 limbed approach with my own style of slow flow vinyasa.
Perfect for absolute beginners as postures are taught individually with modifications if needed, before weaving them together.
Classes also include breathing ( pranayama) practise, mudras, mantra, meditation, philosophy and beautifully relaxing yoga Nidra. They are themed accordingly e.g to seasons/energy/ body systems/simple ailments such as spinal care, mood, and other areas of interest.
You will need a mat, quiet space, device and a strap or scarf. A block or cushion can be useful also. Please select your own music track to relax to along with my voice in Yoga Nidra at the end.
No need to be bendy to begin!
