Intermediate Iyengar yoga

Share
26 Nov - 26 Nov
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (your local time)

Online - LIVE

A harder class for those who have been practising yoga for over 2 years and have some experience with headstands and handstands.

You will be expected to use props, for some poses, as they are required for protecting your neck and shoulders. Although it’s not a deal-breaker if you don’t have any props, as alternates are suggested (in the setup video).

These and the other poses are deeply healing, you will be shown carefully how to do this at home without teacher assistance.

Lisa has 15 years of teaching yoga full time and now has started to share her knowledge and experience online.

Iyengar yoga has a traditional ‘guru’ culture, so Lisa regularly attends classes with senior teachers. She is keen to cultivate a community of like-minded individuals and respects other cultures and differences which is shown in her broad student base of men and women in her home classes, near London.

She is known as a bit of a yoga ‘geek’ and has ideas to try for most physical issues.

The yoga therapeutic understanding is learned through working closely with people experiencing issues, Lisa has helped people through many things such as

  • General  or specific stiffness, pain relief, hyper-mobility, injury recovery, sports performance training, scoliosis, fertility issues, menopause
  • deeper medical issues which require further training and experience

Lisa first trained and worked as a ballet / contemporary dancer, choreographer and teacher. She also adored her work as an integrated dance teacher for people with learning and physical disabilities.

Now her passions are yoga, family, her new puppy, and trying to get through Lockdown mentally healthy!

She hopes to meet you soon to share her passion and understanding, or just for a damn good, tough yoga class!
